An expansion from Atlanta’s Marta Train would open up opportunities for more disadvantaged individuals to purchase affordable housing. Although strides have been made in the area of public transit, this plan has a long way to go. Great school system, affordable housing and home to one of the largest shopping malls in the country, The Mall of Georgia coming in a close second to the Mall of America located right outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

#19 Most Diverse Places to Live in GeorgiaĬurrent Resident: The city of Buford is located about 25 miles outside the perimeter of Atlanta, Georgia. Because it’t apart of the metropolitan Atlanta area, the traffic can be congested sometimes especially during rush hours. My least favorite thing about Fayetteville is the traffic. It has the lowest crime rate throughout all of the metropolitan area. Lastly, Fayetteville is a safe environment. Fayetteville also provides residents a healthier way of living with 3 workout gyms, and multiple healthy restaurants. New houses and apartments are being built everyday, there’s an ample amount of job opportunities, the schools are rated as the best in the county and the nearby area, and Fayetteville is one of the most diverse towns in the metropolitan Atlanta area. In addition to this, it’s a great and upcoming area for new families to move to. There’s a plethora of grocery stores, shopping plazas, restaurants, and activities for kids, teens, adults, and families. #15 Most Diverse Places to Live in GeorgiaĬurrent Resident: I have lived near Fayetteville for about three years now and my favorite thing about it is it’s connivence. Overall Chamblee is a crossroads of many different cultures sharing where they came from and what they love, resulting in an extremely unique environment from other neighborhoods in The Perimeter area of Atlanta. where it meets Buford Highway, as there are many apartments there so people constantly have to run across the street. There should be crosswalks on Chamblee Dunwoody Rd. One thing that I think could be improved on is making facilities like parks, community centers, and libraries more appealing to all the different people of Chamblee. You could very well "travel the world" by going around and trying food at Plaza Fiesta, Chinatown Food Court, Taco Veloz, Bismillah Cafe, and Pho Bac. One of my favorite secret activities in Chamblee is visiting PDK airport to watch the planes and grab a bite from Downwind Restaurant. #6 Most Diverse Places to Live in GeorgiaĬurrent Resident: Chamblee is by Buford Highway and about 20 minutes with traffic to Buckhead, it is a great area to eat diverse food and spend quality time with friends. Other than that, Duluth is a very suitable place for people to live. The only downsides are that You just can't go anywhere without car, and that the minimum wage is like $8 an hour.

Don't worry, there are many places for you to settle down. Moreover, the living costs here are not too bad as long as you just find the right place for the right price. The community there is also very diverse! There is just so much to experience in a suburb, it is actually kind of crazy. Additionally, there are even places where you can go to have fun! Sugarloaf hills isn't too far away, and theres also Regal Cinema and Dave and Busters within a 10-20 minute drive. So as long as you have a car, shopping for necessities will not be an issue. Additionally, there are a lot of stores such as Walmart, Target, Home Depot, etc.

It has a very decent public education system, with the schools doing a god job at teaching the kids. #2 Most Diverse Places to Live in GeorgiaĬurrent Resident: I've been living here since 2009, and I will say that Duluth is very enjoyable.
